About the Author
Janet Shea received her MFA in Creative Non-Fiction from Spalding University, Louisville, Kentucky in 2006. Her essays, articles, poetry, and short stories have appeared in magazines and newspapers including The Christian Science Monitor, The Witness Magazine, Liguorian, and North Shore Life. She has read her work on Maine Public Radio, MPBN, and has taught writing at Emerson College and Stonehill College. Prayers of a Roadside Contemplative is her first book of poems. She lives with her husband of sixty years in Tenants Harbor, Maine, where she spends her afternoons reading and writing. In the meantime she welcomes the visits of family and friends.

Absolutely Stunning! She says it like no other and at times, one is left breathless. Shea's imagery places you in the setting; all senses are awake! Oh, that we could have several more installments of this first offering!
