I've used this directory in my motor home for years and have found it very helpful in finding "big rig" diesel fueling locations. The problem I have with this product listing is that the cover picture shows a 2015 directory but the description after the title says 2014. I'm not going to place an order until I'm sure which year's directory I'm ordering.

Short but powerful story of the unexplained

I’ve always been drawn to real-life mysteries, so I found “The Tree: The Disappearance of the Stevens Family” difficult to put down after I’d started reading it. Here we have Troy and his family have moved to a secluded farmhouse surrounded by nothing by vast, barren fields—except for a strange tree that stands in the middle of the field. But quickly, strange and macabre events begin to occur, forcing the family to discover the history of the tree and why it still remains. This is a short story and I’m not a fan of spoilers, so I’m not going to give away anything here. However, I will tell you that I was frightened after reading this. Davis’ writing prowess is impressive as he was able to create a feeling of unfolding dread. I became truly concerned for what might happen next to the little family. Plus, he was able to capture the Depression Era Kansas setting vividly. I highly recommend this story to anyone who loves a good, strong ghost story. It’s a quick read, but an effective one.

The Tree: A Tale of Fright and Unexpected Horror...

"The Tree: Disappearance of the Stevens Family" authored by John Anthony Davis is a brief tale of spellbinding horror, keeping readers on the edge of fright and concern as to what might happen next. After the story begins on the dusty Kansas plains in 1928 with the devastation of the Great Depression looming and already taking root. Families were destitute with no work, savings had ran out, life and better times had ceased to exist.

9 year old Troy arrived at the decades empty Kansas farmhouse in the middle of nowhere. His mothers family had bought the old homestead during more prosperous times. His parents had lost their former life altogether when the sawmill where his father worked for 15 years closed. Troy, his parents and two teen sisters had no choice but to relocate to the farmhouse with no where else to go.
Was it because of the heat wave Troy saw something unusual that couldn't be explained, his mother was furious with him for lying and making stories up, his father, didn't have a whole lot to say about his odd story as the family worked hard to get settled. As the intensity of the unforeseen evil and danger began to spread on this isolated homestead.

Artfully & intelligently written

As a little girl growing up in Iraq, Weam thought life was perfect, almost magical. Until one day she was whisked away from her home to a strange land where nothing was as promised. In the US, Weam had to learn a new way of life, figure out how to fit in and navigate through school. The process lead to her to find comfort in the ever flowing American food and a few odd friends who helped along the way.
Now as an adult living in Michigan, Weam has a beautiful life. She is married to the man she loves, has two children and is living her dream as a writer, with several books under her belt. That is until she hits a road block and finds that after all these years, trying to be someone she isn't, she has lost her literary voice. Coming across a writing that she connects with takes her on a journey to a spiritual school where she channels her past and future and is able to find that voice that she has lost.
Weam Namou artfully and intelligently weaves her past and the history of her country into her writing. I found myself fascinated by her childhood recollections, but at the same time often lost in the conversations she has with her mentor. Ignoring my beliefs and preconceived notions of the magical world, I tried to open myself up to what Weam, as a wife, mother, and woman, was going through and learning. I truly felt I could connect with her on some level, having felt I've lost myself as well.
While the book is very detail oriented there were times when the details seemed to take over the story. Understandably, the writer is using these details to give us a clear picture of the history of her land and it's people, but at times it felt some of the details were out of place, or drug on. That said, the book is beautifully written and emotional. Weam has a heart for Iraqi women and the hardships they face, in the US as well as in her home country.

I wanted to read this book in hopes of learning about the writer and her past as well as how she was able to work through what was holding her back. I was not only able to do those things but also gain insight into myself through the words that Weam shares with her readers. I was given a copy of this ebook in exchange for an honest review. This book is not for everyone, but I would recommend it to someone who is open to more spiritual and mystical ideas.

A Fabulous Journey of Healing Wisdom!!!

In Healing Wisdom for the Wounded World:My Life-Changing Journey Through a Shamanic School,Book 1, Weam Namou takes the reader on the journey of her life. I started reading and 7 chapters later I still wanted to continue. Weam Namou's writing is very good. The editing is excellent.

In Healing Wisdom for the Wounded World, Weam Namou shares the memories of her life with heartwarming thoughtfulness. The stories are hand woven, using intrinsic wefts and warps to produce multi layered depths within her daily musings and a lifetime of memories. As Weam Namou shares the lessons she herself has learned from so many of her teachers and family members;I found myself opening up, nodding in recognition. Weam Namou is a complex weaver, sharing her thoughts, feelings and ideas, adding bits of history and interesting facets of cultures throughout her writing.

In Healing Wisdom for the Wounded World, Weam Namou encourages the reader to explore, to excavate the wounds deep within one's self in order to move forward and reach your dream. A person can focus and clarify issues which may be troublesome by using the medicine wheel which is divided into four equal sections, each of the sections representing the four directions, the North (Spiritually), South (physical world) ,West (emotional) and East (mentally). The "wheel" represents balance and connection needed for healing. The wheel is symbolic of the cycle of life, with no beginning nor ending.

I would recommend this eBook to anyone interested learning more about themselves, as well as embracing balance, peace and love.. I found Healing Wisdom for a Wounded World to be educational, intriguing, and easy to read. Weam Namou is an excellent storyteller and writer.I wanted to keep reading her words, to hear her truths, our truths, and to keep learning. I am looking forward to the future books in this series.

Healing our deep wounds

Author Weam Namou had written books before but had come to be in a place of struggle with not feeling the desire or ability to write. She schedules a phone call with Lynn Andrews to try and work through her blocks, which leads her to the Lynn Andrews Shamanic School. This turns out to be just what Namou needs to overcome the loss of her literary voice, which she accepts came from the trauma of conflict and war in her birth country Iraq, and the demands of motherhood and marriage.

Andrews’ book, Writing Spirit, led her to the phone consultation, which in turn led her to four years of training in Andrews’ shamanic school, which Namou is able to do on her own time and in her own home, in Michigan. Over the course of the training and the book that she writes about it, she is able to accept what her fears are, work through them and become a more whole person.

The premise of the shamanic school is that everyone has deep wounds, many of which are hidden, that keep us from reaching our full potential. Only when these are uncovered and healed can we truly begin to live the full life that is our birthright, Through the wisdom of the ancient spirits and the wheel of life, Namou’s wounds are healed and she begins to feel whole. Her journey can help others find the strength to heal themselves too. I think people who are on a writer’s path will enjoy this book, but the fact that she is a writer is almost secondary to her quest to be a more whole person, something I think we all secretly want. I have always wondered how those Israelites could be so blind to all the great things God was doing for them in the time of Moses. Surely I myself would never have forgotten last week's miracle just because a new crisis appeared - of course I would have been a Joshua or a Caleb!
James Lucas' book causes me to realize that God accomplishes His works in a gloriously quiet manner, and that His works are visible only to one who looks with eyes opened by the Spirit. We can see what we want to see, or we can choose the way of the cross and see what God wants us to see. This is an imperfectly written story, the more beautiful because is reflects an imperfect man's journey and God's perfect faithfulness in guiding his children home.
I look forward to a sequel!

Read this essential book before you write a word.

This book is essential reading for anyone who's toying with the idea of using a book as a platform to launch a business, promote a concept or teach the world something it needs to know.

You may find everything you thought you knew turned upside down and inside out. You may find yourself wading through your own sticky resistance. You may even decide that you don't, after all, want to write a book - or at least, perhaps not the book you initially planned to write.

These are all Really Good Things.

Questioning accepted wisdom is enormously beneficial. Even if you don't end up agreeing with Angela, or following her (very smart) ideas, you'll become far more discerning when it comes to decisions about your book. There's so much technical information in this book, you can't help it.

Bumping heads with your sticky resistance is a superb way to get in touch with it and clean it out, so you can embark on a book-writing journey with a clean energy.

And if you decide that writing a book is not for you, imagine how much time and energy you have freed up for what you're truly passionate about! (And by the way - if you're not 120 percent sure you want to write a book, you DEFINITELY need to read this book).

It goes without saying that if you ARE ready to start a movement with your book, this is where to begin.

Angela's credibility in author-coaching, book publishing, and making a difference is substantial, and she brings a clear, focused and highly strategic approach to her people - book authors.

But she is not for everyone (again, this is a Good Thing - being 'for everyone' is a shade of beige which is boring and ineffective).

What's deliciously different about this book is that just as she explains why YOUR book will not be for everyone.... that's exactly what she herself does with her own book.

She provides a clear step by step journey, and with this one very small purchase, you may find you have everything you need to launch your own movement. Of course, as with any similar book, reading it isn't enough - you have to do the work. I know I'll be poring over it and scheduling in the specific tasks - because I want the book I write next to have maximum impact in the world.

Highly recommended for all authors who are here to make a difference. Tiny investment, really substantial value.

So much more than "How to Write a Book", It's Really How to Start a Movement - GREAT READ!

Take the idea of lighting your small corner of the world on fire and lay out exactly how to strike the match and start the burning - this is exactly what Dr. Angela Lauria has done with her book "The Incubated Author". This book succinctly and directly lays out the reasons why writing a book can start that "fire", aka your own personal movement that is burning a hole in your brain and more probably your heart.

As an entrepreneur who is the midst of changing one business model to match the market and meditating on what other business to start "on the side", this gave me so many great ideas for BOTH businesses that I know I will have to read it again to give them their proper due. This book is so much more than "How to Write a Book". The steps are laid out in a practical fashion, giving a clear road map for working the process Dr. Lauria devises. Yet, the foundations of The Law of Attraction - feeling your way - are clearly a large part of the process. This mix of sensability and emotion driven decision making can only produce one thing when put into practice - RESULTS! And if you are looking to KNOW if your movement is being received, if you have the ability to sustain it, both from a passion perspective and financial perspective, and turn that small flame into a raging fire, this will get you there much more quickly than on your own.

I really loved this book and believe that I will be using it as a guide during the year, and beyond, as I work to create my own movement, helping people help themselves.

Gets Into Your Head In the BEST Way!

This book seriously reached into the depths of my soul, grabbed me by my roots, and shook the living hell out of me. So many of the issues that Angela talks about – the feeling stuck, running from idea to idea, being confused as to why no following is forming – could have been taken straight from my mind.

But then she lays out so clearly WHY these things happen, and what drives these mistakes. I had so many “ah ha” moments (and “holy s***” moments) while reading this book, I was bouncing between wanting to read the whole thing in one sitting, and making copious notes on what was going on in my head.

By the time I was done with the book, I was ready to sit down and make some massive changes to my business. Not to change course or add things on, but to simplify everything – to boil it down to the core power message that I want ALL my clients to resonate with, and start there. Get back to basics, and allow it to be powerful by itself without trying to complicate it.

I know this book just changed my business, which means it’s going to change the lives of all the people I’m meant to share my message with. I’ll be working with Angela on a book soon, for sure. I want my message in her capable hands.

About the Author
Marie Claire Lim Moore is a Filipina-Canadian-American working mother and author of Don't Forget the Soap. After spending the early part of her childhood in Vancouver, Claire moved to New York City and attended the United Nations International School. She went on to study at Yale, climb the corporate ladder at Citi and travel around the world. She met her husband, Alex, while working in Sao Paulo, Brazil and they married in Manila, Philippines shortly before moving to Singapore. Now Mom to Carlos, Isabel, and Sofia, Claire also manages the Global Client business for Citi in Asia. Claire is regularly ranked among leaders in the Asian-American professional community and her experiences have been written about in The New York Times, USA Today, Smart Parenting, Good Housekeeping and People Asia. She enjoys juggling her thriving career and growing family, fundraising for Filipino community events and promoting work-family balance for women through her talks as well as her writing. Previous speaking engagements have been hosted by Standard Chartered Bank, The Financial Women's Association of Singapore, and MasterCard Asia. Upbeat and uplifting book

I love how positive and heartwarming this book is and how easy it is to read. It's a timely reminder of how special family is and how all of us can be happier and more fulfilled if we make the most of what we have and live our best lives. Bravo, Ms. Claire Lim Moore! A true, relatable story about a "Positively Filipino" family!

A proper sequel to best-seller Don’t Forget the Soap, Don’t Forget the Parsley is another light read you can finish in one sitting — not because it’s a short memoir, but because you won’t be able to put it down until the last page. What I like about Claire’s writing is she welcomes you into parts of her life as if you’re talking to a close friend over coffee. If DTFS has her mother Lenore as focus, DFTP has more stories and reflections on the author’s father, brother, and husband, which make this book seem a bit more balanced. Which is pretty much the book’s central theme. Those who didn’t grow up with the immigrant experience might relate to more topics here (i.e. pulling a tooth the Filipino way).

Young professionals and those inspired to make something out of their personal and work lives should read this. Her pieces of advice are laid-back, found throughout the book, and mostly from her personal experiences which you’ll find very amusing and helpful. For fathers, mothers, siblings, and best friends. It's a title that can survive many generations. Don’t Forget the Parsley is funny, and a great addition to any family library and gift wish list!

and my favorite is when they gifted their mom with an iPod

I'm not usually fond of sequels, but this book is an exception. I laughed a lot while reading her first book, but this time, in Don't Forget The Parsley, I laughed out LOUD and rolled over many times, too. There are plenty of touching moments as well, and my favorite is when they gifted their mom with an iPod. You'll have to buy the book to find out what happened. You won't regret it.

Reading this book made me want to meet the author's father in person, and shake his hand. I suspect he and my dad would get along very well.

All things considered, this book is a wonderful addition to our family library, and a very nice gift to book-loving, expat friends. I am willing to bet you have at least one of those, too.

About the Author
The author Hamody Jasim is a native born Iraqi from Baghdad, Iraq. At only age 18 he was the youngest Sergeant Major ever in the Iraqi Military history. He befriended many Americans as they worked together from 2003-2008. Because of his loyalty to the Americans and the type of intelligence information he was able to get he was recruited by the U.S. Intelligence Agencies to work for them and supply them with much needed intelligence information. In 2008 Hamody was proud to call the United States his home after defeating al-Qaeda and protecting the Americans. Today he is currently getting his degree in Political Science and hopes to move on into a career where he can continue to help and inspire others.

SGTMAJ. Hamody Jasim is a true Hero and Warrior. Many of our brothers who served with SGTMAJ. Jasim over seas and families in Iraq are alive today because of his courageous brave actions. He constantly put himself in many situations were the odds were against him and didn't care to sacrifice his own life so that others could be with their loved ones today. I can't imagine the amount of pain, suffering, and sacrifice SGTMAJ. Jasim went through his life fighting and defeating these monsters. I loved reading this book and it was so hard to put down. Every time I had a chance even if it was 2 minutes to spare I'd have my eyes glued to the book. His selfishness and heart truly brought tears to my eyes at times because how great of a leader/hero he is. I highly recommend everyone to read this book because it's men like him that give me hope that one day we will defeat terrorism as a whole. I'm extremely proud and honored to be part of his family. I have the most upmost respect and love for SGTMAJ. Hamody Jasim. Thank you for everything you have done for our country and I salute you brother

I have read the book four times now .... such honesty and bravery is so commendable ! Praises and Blessings for all. Learned much more than I really wanted to - but .... always have to keep in mind " life is REAL" and it doesn't get "more real " anywhere, more than in this book. I smiled, cried many tears ... some of joy, some of sadness and some from the pure pain of all the suffering and misery in this "world : ....... Every person in the world should have to BUY and READ this book ! Can't sing the praises loud or long enough !

Awesome personal narrative of an Iraqi patriot at war

Awesome personal narrative of an Iraqi patriot at war. It gives greater depth to the body of written work at present about our ongoing war, and told in such a heart felt and touching way. This is a five star book easy.

The only cross words I have for this book is the lack of detail and depth in some areas. This is due to the author trying to tell his story while at the same time protect his family and friends and our current operations against ISIS/ISIL. It in no way takes away from the book. However, if the author ever reads this review, then I would encourage him to revisit this again several dacades down the road. His story has the makings of an epic autobiography.

I have read this book four times and each time I seem to "read" something missed before . It's a book I couldn't put down till I finished it . The details and missions in the book aren't anything this "mother " ever set out to read, but - must have needed to know what was going on .
Thank you, Mr. Hamody Jasim, SGT Maj..... for your bravery, your skills and your protection to our American soldiers and women .
Looking fwd to seeing this on the "big screen " ..... "when it's time, it is time " !......!
