About the Author
Ray Jason has enjoyed a contrary- to-ordinary life. After receiving his Political Science degree, he was drafted and served in Vietnam aboard an ammunition ship. This experience convinced him to avoid the “real world” as much as possible. He achieved this by spending the next 20 years juggling torches, knives and bowling balls on the streets of San Francisco—with considerable skill, prompting San Francisco's Mayor to declare July 17, 1981 Ray Jason Day. He has spent his recent years as a sea gypsy—wandering the wide waters in search of adventure, serenity and philosophical insights.

Ray Jason is one of a kind, a traveler, a performer, a philosopher, tale-spinner and poet. His adventures and musings make for great reading, and for thoughts that linger after you put the book down. On 1 hand Ray has a philosophical outlook but on the other hand he is a very practical person.
Whether he is prompted by a starry night or a broken gear in the steering windvane of his sailboat,
Ray is possessed of an analytical outlook that see's both life's philosophical quandrys and its engineering problems.
His writings are easy to read and commonly lead one to reflect on the path a solution.
