An Older Couple's Zest for Life

Joint Accounts is a compilation of essays that are hilarious, poignant, informative and touching. Whether it be the parable of the dutiful ant or the efforts to cohabit with invertebrates. Whether it is being awed by the diversity of warblers on a .2 acre backyard or the reverence for a grandfather. Whether we learn that it takes a village to care for an aging mother or hear the confessions of a pack rat---I was delighted to be invited into the worlds of Berlin and Corsini.

Couldn't put it down!

I don't have a lot of time to read so figured a collection of essays would be just my speed. I couldn't put "Joint Accounts" down! I'm still smiling weeks later thinking about geese, ants, aging parents, etc. I'm so glad there is another book in the series...I wasn't ready to leave Delia and David's world.

"The Last Ant" is so moving and powerful. In just 2 brilliant and inspired pages Berlin creates an image I'll keep with me forever. I'm looking forward to getting into the rest of the essays.
