Jim Yake provided in Our Journey, My Path Home, an intimate, and unique perspective on his 40 year relationship with his beloved wife, Ginny. The book is unique because their own journey is in all of our collective fabric. Jim grapples in an honest, forthright fashion with all of our potential life challenges. Death is always pushed away by all of us. As author William Saroyan pointedly said about our perception of death, " Everybody has to die, but I always believed an exception would be made in my case. Now what?"
My Path Home explores the next step, in open, and sometimes raw, reflection. This book is a powerful and riveting read.

Whether one has experienced a devastating loss or not, this book is a must read! Not only is it a beautiful love story, but it reminds the reader about that which is most precious in this life. Young and old will be positively affected by the author's 'lessons of life' message!

Beautiful, touching story

This book is aptly named; starting on page one the reader will embark on an unforgettable journey. Beginning with innocence and young love, you will join Jim and his beloved Ginny as they travel through life's ups and downs to arrive at poignant and moving conclusion. But as the author teaches, "conclusion" is not the right word as he beautifully illustrates how true love is never-ending. It was hard to put this book down as I really felt I had come to know both Jim and Ginny on a personal level. Their story is both unique and relatable, and it will make you seek out your beloved to tell them how lucky you are to be on life's journey with them. A wonderful read.
