Provides insight into a long and fruitful journey that is the author's life and family tree. The numerous images help transport the reader into the lives of not only the biographer but also the captivating lives of relatives illustrated wonderfully by the portraits and candid pictures that were included throughout the entire book. Just by peering through this tableau one garners a sense of the author's many talents, ranging from finance and banking, all the way to music and gardening. The author obviously gained inspiration from his family; from the first page praising his talented and faithful companion, his wife Claire, all the way to the end. The last few pages involved a very touching and sentimental scrapbook commemorating Eric's life, his late eldest child. The book is quite clearly a biography of the past, but also gives hope to the future. A recommended read for anyone looking for a true story that spans generations.
