A Seeker's Harvest is so much more than a memoir about a man with ALS and Lyme disease.

It is a love story, a manual of how to listen to our bodies for ultimate health and a must-read for anyone that could use a little (or a lot) of inspiration and hope.
Kevin illustrates how taking an active role in your health and not only doing what mainstream doctors say can have a huge impact on your well-being.
Heidi has done a wonderful job of compiling all the wisdom from Kevin and putting it in to an easy to read format. I finished the book very quickly and was sad that it came to end. I was left wanting to know even more about Kevin, but even more from Kevin. One of the main things I enjoyed about the book was how vulnerable Kevin was in sharing his story. He gives a truly, honest review of his life and talks about situations that aren't always easy to talk about.
Kevin details very specific ideas that would be beneficial to not only those with health challenges, but for the entire population. Kevin encourages us to search for what works for us. He shows up how not only food affects every cell of our bodies, but how powerful our thoughts are. They affect our feelings, actions and life outcomes.
Kevin takes us through his life story, so we know how he came to be who he is, a man of incredible strength and integrity. Kevin weaves in spirituality and shares his 'glimpse of heaven' and great faith in God that forever changed him. In Kevin's words, "Love, compassion, service - that's what is important."
Kevin's unconditional love for his fiancé, Leslie and his two sons shows throughout the book. His absolute love, appreciation and gratitude for the rest of his family and his friends cannot be missed.
It is no surprise that he is a determined seeker in his own destiny after reading about his tenaciousness as a businessman. You might think that Kevin might be bitter about being the fourth family member with ALS and having other family members with health issues. Or he might be angry because his business partner stole over a million dollars from him. But he's not. His optimistic, positive attitude does not stop and he truly is a guy who "keeps on going."
This is a compelling story of perseverance, gratitude, hope and inspiration. You will not be the same person after reading this. You will be better in so many ways, from realizing that Kevin is still here for a reason and all of you are here for a reason too. It's up to you to search for your own answers and by using Kevin's book as a guide, there is no doubt that you will find your own solutions.

Definitely a Must Read

Wonderful story about an ordinary, brave man named Kevin who faces his diagnosis head on and makes the most of what he is given. Its partially a Memoir of his life history leading up to and beyond his diagnosis, and the emotions he feels along the way. The story portrayed the sides of a caregiver and how it feels to be on the side of the one caring for a dying person. Some great information and education about healthy lifestyle choices and the power of positive thinking - a great handbook for anyone seeking remedies for chronic health issues and a desire to live life to the fullest. Sounds like he is doing something right! An awesome tribute!!
