Your families sad journey

I chose the title because it was sad. Your book is very well written. I could not put it down. I picked it up because I saw the words Flint Michigan. I too live in a Florida since 2000. My family still lives in Flint.. I am 68 years old. Every place you mentioned in the ebook, I knew where it was. I too worry about my family still living there. I pray for your family. I' m so sorry you all had to go through that. I think your MOM would be very proud of the way you all handled it. Ruthwohl@live.com

Beautifully Written

Daniel L. Murphy, established artist and Flint native son, has been creating rich landscapes and colorful characters for over 40 years.
With ‘Missing Mom’ he has put down his brushes and exchanged them for a keyboard. His first book, a non-fiction account of his mother’s murder, also tells the story of how a diverse community came together in a town ravaged by corporate greed, poverty, abandonment, and a broken culture.
Murder is nothing new to Flint Michigan. The city continues to be labeled ‘the most dangerous city in America’. The New York Times once called it ‘Murder Town’.
Murphy’s honest, loving, and insightful account of this personal tragedy reminds us that in the end what matters most is the love and connections that fill our lives.
