A tour de force, covering the vast subject of philanthropy in the USA with enough depth to make the reading useful and informative. Difficult to put the book down and definitely a keeper. The timeline of accomplishments in the rear pullout from 1636-2015 is eye-opening.
The book is large and relatively heavy to carry around; would recommend the Kindle version if portability is a concern.

For me this book is the most easily read, well researched

I just now took time away from studying this fabulous book to catch up on my email. For me this book is the most easily read, well researched, well written book I have ever purchased! It is filled with facts I have never known from all my reading of non-fiction books. In fact, I have been writing in longhand some of the information so clearly presented so that I can pass on to others what I am learning. Next to the Bible I cherish this book.
