It was a moving revealing view of the Viet Nam upheaval from an 18 year old's perspective. I knew this wonderful, humorous very sensitive person so well from high school years .I feel privileged for being able to add extreme courage, character and bravery now to the list

I found this book to be enlighning as to what many of these young men experience. I know Margie Summerscales, who is the beloved sister of Stephen. I am sorry that I never met Stephen. He sounds like a very kind and caring young man. It is so incomprehensible to think of what these men endured. Heartbreaking.
I admire the entire family for having the courage to relive the story of Steven. Hopefully it was somehow therapeutic for them. I hope so.
Thank you for sharing this. I also want to thank all of the men who are serving, or have served, in the armed forces.
God bless all of you. A special blessing to all of Stephen's family. Margie, I did not know you as well as I would have liked. I admired you and am so sorry you had to endure this.

This book was well written by Stephen's father. It gives incite to the Viet Nam War and all the struggles our men faced. I was fortunate to graduate with Steve in 1966 from Penncrest High School, in Media, PA. RIP Steve.
