Alice's book is an inspiration to all. It is amazing how Alice can recall so many years later the details of her childhood. Although not a book of suspense, the nature of the book keeps you in suspense wondering, "what is next"/ Perhaps, Alice's IQ being at the top percent of the country could account for her keen memory. Alice could continue this book which would be a great series and would start out like the story, "Little House on the prairie". So much more will be revealed in her next book. Her gripping tale of how she took on huge challenges and won is exciting and true. I am looking forward to the publication of her next book.

You will become DEEPLY IMMERSED in "A Hole So Deep!"

I thoroughly enjoyed this RIVETING READ! I had to keep reminding myself that this was a TRUE story about the life of Alice, a girl who from a VERY young age, was EXTREMELY DETERMINED AND MOTIVATED to make a better life for herself; it was NOT fiction! It was a touching, heart wrenching, story that included a bit of humor as well, as you see how the intelligent Alice, handled her ignorant parents, and other "roadblocks" that would keep her from achieving her education and the way out of poverty. I'm looking forward to the sequel! BRAVO!!!!!!

This was a very interesting book. It's very hard to put down when you start reading it. The book tells the story of how a very poor young girl fought all through her childhood to better herself. She knew how important an education was and had to do everything she could do to stay in school despite the constant threatening of her parents to take her out of school, Her strong determination to make the best of the constant discouragement she faced is very inspiring. I highly recommend this book.
