Inspiring. Must Read.

I didn't want to put it down. Emily Carpenter took me on a journey through her evolution, resulting in self-reflection. It really is a true tale of adventure. Her courage, honesty, confidence, and humility are inspiring. I love how she projects vivid images with words. My imagination along her journey went wild. I cannot wait for the next project from Emily! Loved it!

There is no warm up for this adventure.

This is one of those books you want to finish once you start it. I found myself sneaking a few pages in every chance I had. It is juicy in so many aspects - from characters, to Chinese business culture to steamy moments between the sheets. Yet it is written from a wide-eyed but intelligent youthful perspective you don’t normally find in novels.
At times I felt genuinely sick for the girl and wished she would just move on from her seemingly avoidable suffering. The book has the ability to feel like you are along on her trip… from page one. There is no warm up for this adventure.

Recommended to this book by a friend. I don't usually read books to be honest but this had me staying up at night to finish. Completed the book in a few days stressing me out the entire time with the misadventures and erratic behavior from the people in the book.
