One for the fans

A light and enjoyable read which fills the reader in life and career of singer. The author puts Adele and her personality in spotlight, without doing hatchet job or being nasty. He admires her as a singer and person - and it's apparent how Adele is unlike so many other celebrities and ?divas" around today.
As well as being a book for fans this is also a good book for students and journalists in regards to being a resource of fact (rather than gossip) about the singer.

A good - and even inspirational - short book.

I started this book being a fan of Adele's music, but by the end I was a fan of Adele the woman.
The author breaks up this short book well into chapters and phases of Adele's life. Adele has been knocked down a few times through the course of her life, but not knocked out.
With a wealth of details about her blossoming as one of the UK's most successful singers of the last twenty years Neil Simpson conveys, through Adele's ups and downs, that every person can strive towards their dream (providing they nurture talent and word incredibly hard).
A good - and even inspirational - short book. So good that my critism would be, I wish it could have been longer.

Short biog

A competent enough written biography of Adele's life and it does give you some insight into the way she lives and breathes. I am left feeling the book did not go into too great a depth and was short and too quick to get through. Nice to read about Adele's life so far and I really respect what she is trying to achieve and how she goes about it.
